Home Schooling vs Public School

This time do you ever hear about a HomeSchooling but what is that and it is same with public school or not, and what distinguish them ???
Maybe my explanation will give you some idea.
As we know that public school is like a school that we can see there is a building, headmaster, teacher, canteen, etc but if home scooling more privat and we can do it in ou home.
Every parent want the best for their childen ducation but now pulic education looks bad caused teacher attitudes that always rough in punish their student. Because of this reason a lot f parent now more worried if their children school in public schooling so they choose to change in home schooling.
Dissatisfaction is the trigger educate parents choose their children at home, with the risk of providing more time and energy. A place where homeschooling parents hope to improve the quality of children’s education, to develop the values of faith / religious and moral as well as get a fun learning atmosphere
But what is Home Scooling or home education let me explain first :
“Home scooling actually cames from English that mean an education that a family choose their home as a place to accelerate an education because it’s more privat and parents can incluted to determine the process of education, determining the direction and goals of education, the values that would be developed, intellect and skills, curriculum and materials, and methods of study and practice (Sumardiono,2007:4)
In Indonesia home scooling is develop by Dr.Seto Mulyadi and it develop self-taught and dont know exactly when this education spread more regular like now.
There’s some factor that support home scooling such as :
1. Public School Failed
Means that system of public education not suitable with development time, beside that teacher attitude make parent more worried.
2. Support with facilities and infrastructure
Means that we can facilities a place and some infrastructure that more support the education
3. More relax
4. Private Teacher
5. Parent can watch the education Proses
Home Scooling vs Public Schooling strengths and weaknesses, are :
1. home schooling
a. Strengths
* customized with children needs
* more making children more strugle and kreatif
* maximize the potential of the child since early
* making children more dive in the real world because the education process based on their daily activities
* declaration growth values of children with their families
* vertical socialization(abilit interact with parents and a different age)
* cost of education can adapt to the circumstances of parents
b. Weakness
* need a high commitment and involvement from parents
* dissemination contemporary (peer-group socialization) is relatively low
* there are risks to lack of ability to work in a team (team work), organizational, and leadership
* protection of parents can be side effects inability to provide complete social situation
2. public schooling
a. Strengths
* customized with curiculum
* there’s a rules
* schedule regular every day
* making children more socialization with another person like her age
* their teacher custom
b. Weakness
* teacher doesn’t know activity student after school
* sometimes parent just submit all the education to the teachers and they would not know
From this maybe you will compare beetween home schooling and public schooling so you can choose the best for your children.
